Teaching is not a profession; it’s a passion. Without passion and dedication, our children’s future would resemble a sunset instead of a sunrise. I like to take care of pet animals, I enjoy melodious music. I like to take care of pet animals, Enjoy listening to music.
I have just started teaching so enjoy each moment with my children. Last year we have done “Wealth out of Waste” activity with our children. In that we made bags out of newspaper. We reused the newspapers creatively. I experienced great joy in seeing the children work together. The teachers who inspired me most to take up this profession are Mrs Krithika Renuka and Mrs.Maggie. I have learnt many things from them which have helped me to reach here. SNV school is a great place where I can update myself and also teach the children new things.

Sometimes it is hard to introduce as we don’t know where to start with. Teaching is my passion and it gives me happiness. Have traveled in this great journey for last 16 years. I like to read Hindi Novels and adding to it cooking, knitting and crochet work too. To be a great teacher we must adapt to the changing times and keep ourselves updated with the technology. I generally prepare the lesson before starting class and give more practical examples to explain the lesson. I relate every topic to English just to make them understand in a better way as not all children have a Hindi background.
I feel happy when I come to know that my students are shining bright in their endeavors and it is joyful to not only teach but also to spend time with children. But teaching also has become challenging nowadays as children are exposed more to media and time is not properly utilized.
I would like to share a memorable moment I had with the children. I like to see children do more of practical work and so I organized an activity last year “SPROUTS SALAD MAKING SESSION” for the grade 5 students. I was impressed by looking at the way they worked together and in return got to know their ideas. I truly enjoyed the session and felt happy to see the children excited about having made something on their own.
It is a growing school with few children, and this becomes a big advantage as I can get to know more about each child and give more personal attention to each of them. Another boon is the school’s atmosphere which is very peaceful.

Teaching has always been my passion. I believe students should first trust their teacher in order to have a healthy learning atmosphere. I have become aware that teaching is about learning everyday. It doesn’t matter how excellent I think I am as a teacher if my students feel they do not learn anything. One basic principle in my teaching philosophy is that it needs to be tailored, as much as possible, to students’ interests and current abilities. One of my most memorable teachers in my Secondary school was Ms. Ratnaboli. She taught me valuable things and the power of literacy.
SNV school is my second home where I spend most of my time. Above all, it gives me a platform to do better in life and also builds my personality. I feel blessed to teach in one of the most prestigious and esteemed schools of the city.

The most important part in teaching is to make the classroom interactive and students should learn the concepts by relating them with their real-life experiences for better understanding. The best moment in teaching is when the students understand the concept and apply them in the day to day life.
